Learning and Development Programme
Business Need
Neal’s Yard Remedies was planning a significant expansion programme of their retail outlets and had recognised the additional demands this would make on the management team. There had been limited formal development training to date, therefore some managers were struggling to deal with various people situations and to fully engage their teams. There was a clear need to up-skill the managers so that they could not only deal with the day to day issues more effectively but also raise the general performance of the organisation so that it could cope with the expansion.
Andrum Solution
Andrum designed a 2 day learning and development programme which was delivered in various locations around the UK. The content of the programme was based around a coaching style of management which was aligned to the approach that the company wanted to instil throughout the organisation. The workshops were very interactive, provided practical tools and techniques, and participants were engaged and had fun in the process.
Outcomes
The outcome was an immediate and powerful change in management styles. The learning and development gave the managers the confidence and know-how to deal with situations. Core management approaches were implemented, communication improved and difficult situations were dealt with appropriately.
